FK is actively seeking a volunteer who enjoys sounding and is willing to give a tutorial on that subject as part of these workshops. Additional volunteers are being recruited now for these events plus the FK Demo Saturday evening at Macho Bar. Workshop volunteers must be willing to be nude. FULL KIT GEAR EDUCATION WORKSHOPS DURING SNOWBOUND

FK will be running workshops at 2pm and 4pm on Saturday, Feb 23 teaching basic/intermediate c/b/t techniques using various tools. Registration is required in advance, as spaces are limited to 10 people plus two volunteers and the educators. Email Info@Fullkitgear.com to reserve your place or volunteer to be used for demo purposes. Please state which time slot you would prefer and if you are willing to attend either time period. Slots will be handed out on a first come first served basis.

Its official…The Mr. New England Rubber Contest will be held in Provincetown April 19 – 21, 2013. Jason Lynch, Mr. New England Rubber 2012 and Mr. International Rubber 2012 will be in attendance. There was a tie for first runner-up this year…Geo K. from Lebanon, Beirut and SirTopHer from North Truro, MA took that title and Hector A. from NYC took second runner-up. Congratulations to these great contestants!

Special thanks to Jay Kubesch for your DVD contribution, it was a big hit, raising $280. I will keep the remainder on hand to sell next year. AND it would not be MLW without Danny Pantaleo and Gerald Goode (have you ever seen such smokin’ hot barbers?) on hand to make us look good for Saturday night. They donate their TIPS every year & brought in $373. this year. Thanks guys, your generosity is much appreciated.

Despite a decrease in attendance to 615 people (did I mention the rain), through Pass Sales, Raffle, Cover Charges, Buzz-Cut Barber TIPS and Jay’s DVD sale, $3, 214. was raised for the ASGCC. THANKS TO ALL WHO CONTRIBUTED IN ANY WAY! Especially bot scott, NortheastLeatherboy 2012 for his superb raffle boy skills…many men expressed their appreciation of your sales skills to me.

Another highlight was the first annual MLW Coat Drive to benefit Ruthie’s Boutique, non-profit thrift store in town, whose proceeds benefits local charities. 18 coats/jackets, 37 shirts, 2 pants and a suitcase were donated. That is AWESOME for a fist time endeavor. Thanks to Steve Benson, Northeast Leatherboy, 2011 for that suggestion. Your ROCK!

MLW WAS BIG, HARD FUN DESPITE THE RAIN!

Torrential rain did not dampen the spirit of MLW XVI. The rain just did not stop on Friday night, but 360 hot, uniformed men and women showed up for this annual favorite of the uniform and/or cigar fetishists. 615 folks were in town for the event overall, most of whom came by to see David Oravez, 1st Mate 2001, emcee the First Mate 2012 Contest. The judges were Matt Kenney, Mr. Connecticut Leather 2012, Jason Lynch, Mr. New England Rubber 2012 and John Stewart, Northeast LeatherSIR 2012. And the winner is…your Fist Mate 2012…Marc Lucas from New Haven, CT. Thank you judges and congratulations, Mark. We look forward to seeing you host the First Mate 2013 contest on October 5, 2013.

The rain DID NOT keep ‘em away.

Tonight was the biggest Opening Reception turn out ever. Food was delicious and the leatherfolk so sexy, friendly and ready for action. On to Full Kit Gear Shop for Dessert, Coffee and Gear. Then to Paramount for Uniforms & Cigars from (9:30-1:00)…there is a huge tent to keep us dry. So many new faces…so many old friends. If you let the weather keep you away from Provinetown this weekend, you are making a mistake. See you there!

Don’t let the weather forecast fool you, its gonna be a smokin’ hot weekend here in Provincetown. The number of registratants is up from last year and many have already arrived in town and are ready for action. Be sure to check out Bayside Betsy’s “Prime the Pump” social event with hor’s d’ouerves from 8-10 tonight and head over to The Atlantic House for the “Boot Camp” dance party from 10-1 with DJ David LaSalle. Tim Starkey, Mr. International BootBlack 2010 will be on hand to get your boots ready for the weekend.

HERRING COVE BEACH BATHHOUSE TO BE DESTROYED

Linking the culturally fertile Provincetown decade of 1910 to the present decade, Ten Days That Shook the World: the Centennial Decade, a multi-media installation project at the iconic Herring Cove Beach Bathhouse, will reflect on time, climate, impermanence and Provincetown’s cultural legacy. Back for another year, the smokin’ hot Danny Pantaleo & Gerald Goode from SNIP Salon will be on hand at The Boatslip during the Leather Market to give you a buzzcut. They will only accept TIPS and will donate all to the ASGCC. If you can’t make it there, SNIP will be offering $25 buzzcuts at the salon throughout MLW.
