SNOWBOUND CANCELED DUE TO COVID

As you all may have imagined, Snowbound Leather Weekend will not be happening this month due to the pandemic. I am MOST HOPEFUL that we will be able to celebrate Mates Leather Weekend September 30-October 4, 2021.  I, for one, can’t wait! See you then!

MLW 2020 T-shirt Sales to Benefit ASGCC

Although we could not gather this year to celebrate the brotherhood, camaraderie and fun-filled events of Mates Leather Weekend, we did not want the year to go by without doing something to raise funds for AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod. Our friends from Good and Evil Creations designed and produced this t-shirt at Mom’s Printshop who allowed G&E to use their print studio. Silkscreen on black 100% pre-shrunk cotton. Net proceeds benefit www.asgcc.org. Order through www.matesleatherweekend.com. Quantities are limited.

MLW Canceled Due to Covid

So sorry & sad to say that Mates Leather Weekend will not be taking place this year due to the pandemic. While we wait for better days, please consider making a donation to @aidssupportgroupofcapecod in honor of MLW through the http://asgcc.org website. MLW will hopefully return 09/30-10/04/21. Until then, stay well, stay healthy and please please please VOTE!

MLW 2020 Unlikely To Take Place

It is unlikely that  Mates Leather Weekend will take place this year considering the uncertainty of the world we live in and the ever changing, rarely positive news.

In hope for some kind of miracle, the final decision will be postponed until early September. Until then, please stay safe and healthy because, if MLW 2020 doesn’t happen, you know MLW 2021 will be the best f*cking leather gathering in history.

SNOWBOUND XIII Sets Record

The Thirteenth Annual SNOWBOUND Leather Weekend was held February 21-23 and by all accounts was a great success with 200+ leathermen in town for the weekend’s events.

Three days of events described as “A Winter Getaway with a Twist” concluded with the announcement of Mr. SNOWBOUND 2020, Andy Sell of Boston, MA, who brought in the most donations with his winter/leather-themed photo. The event overall raised $2,583.00 for the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, the largest amount raised in SNOWBOUND history.  Handing off the Mr. SNOWBOUND sash was Ryan Napravnik, Mr. SNOWBOUND 2019 of Provincetown MA.

Jay Falcon, 2011/2012 Northeast Community Bootblack, 2012 International Community Bootblack 1st Runner-up and SNOWBOUND/Mates Leather Weekend Resident Bootblack was on hand throughout the weekend.

Kudos to the 16 men who participated in the Free Health Screenings provided by the ASGCC at their Drop-In Center located at 148a Commercial St. Your proactive approach towards your health and the health of your partners should be mirrored and lauded. Thanks to Peter Johnston and the ASGCC team for providing this important service. asgcc.org
